Never squeeze, pop, rub or scrape your pimples and lesions. This can aggravate your condition, and lead to scarring or possibly infection. Bursting a pimple doesn't necessarily get rid of it, and there definitely a risk associated with doing so. With proper attention to them, they will eventually disappear on their own, without the residual problems that can result from popping them.

Acne is produced when the oil glands on the hair follicles make too much oil, which combines with dead cells to block pores - causing lesions. There are a number of sensible approaches to dealing with it. The skin must be kept clean by washing it twice a day with a gentle cleanser.

Be careful not to use harsh soaps or cleansers, and not to scrub too hard, because both can exacerbate any existing acne. If needed, use one of the many available over the counter acne medications. Benzoyl peroxide is probably the most widely available.

But even after acne has been treated, the resulting complexion can carry its own set of burdens. Healthy skin – now clear of breakouts – can still carry the remnants of violent acne in the shape of pockmarks, scars, and redness. This can be the cruelest thing of all; still displaying the ravages of a condition you’ve finally managed to beat.

One of the first lines of attack you should use to control acne are over-the-counter acne remedies, we will discuss that later. Now mild to moderate acne affects 3 out of every 4 teens, so most of the population never even needs severe acne remedies.
