Acne Treatment Tips
Never squeeze, pop, rub or scrape your pimples and lesions.
This can aggravate your condition, and lead to scarring or
possibly infection. Bursting a pimple doesn't necessarily get
rid of it, and there definitely a risk associated with doing
so. With proper attention to them, they will eventually
disappear on their own, without the residual problems that can
result from popping them.
Acne is produced when the oil glands on the hair follicles
make too much oil, which combines with dead cells to block
pores - causing lesions. There are a number of sensible
approaches to dealing with it. The skin must be kept clean by
washing it twice a day with a gentle
cleanser.
Be careful not to use harsh soaps or cleansers, and not to
scrub too hard, because both can exacerbate any existing acne.
If needed, use one of the many available over the counter acne
medications. Benzoyl peroxide is probably the most widely
available.
But even after acne has been treated, the resulting
complexion can carry its own set of burdens. Healthy skin – now
clear of breakouts – can still carry the remnants of violent
acne in the shape of pockmarks, scars, and redness. This can be
the cruelest thing of all; still displaying the ravages of a
condition you’ve finally managed to beat.
There are many home acne remedies, which can get rid of your
acne problems within three days. One of the first lines of
attack you should use to control acne are over-the-counter acne
remedies, we will discuss that later. Now mild to moderate acne
affects 3 out of every 4 teens, so most of the population never
even needs severe acne remedies.
